When there is no choice but to yield
If decomposing to describe the dark night and talks about how decomposing, and all that is faced there, is the domain of yin (the receptive). She talks about the dark night being a force-feeding of yin, and those who are taken by it, pass through the facing and embracing of the yin aspects of the psyche which have been disowned and are feared in the dominant culture.
