The hungry heart cries out its longing for something to fill it, soothe it, distract it, delight it. In the absence of a deep connection to source, or long after we have discovered that connection, the heart can keep habitually roaming toward what doesn't serve us. Join Jeannie in exploring the layers of this topic, the dynamics of addiction, the role of the heart, and some practical approaches to the places where we just can't STOP.
This course will include meditation, guided meditation, talks, Q&A with Jeannie and optional breakout room dyad exercises. Optional homework exercises will be offered should you want to take your exploration beyond the class into everyday life.
These events are safe, trauma-sensitive, gentle, filled with consciousness, love and care and are conducive to going at your own pace and enjoying an atmosphere of realness, authenticity and comradery. Sharing is not required, nor is coming on screen.
Topics will include shame, denial, meeting the dynamic with care, tending the layers, the importance of delight, the role of contact, the grounding and soothing use of ritual, and mercy for our humanness.
